Sample Lesson Plans and Activities
Wellness Classroom Lessons: Presentations that discuss different cell phone applications for student use in order to enhance their physical health and wellbeing, financial literacy, productivity, and meditation/relaxation practices.
Designed for use in an undergraduate classroom, but may be used in secondary settings (middle/high).
Accompanying handouts provided.
Character Education Lesson: This lesson, focused on civic responsibility, has an accompanying list of quotes and a handout on creating change in the student's community.
Character Education Initiative: This kindness initiative, which includes painting a kindness mural, includes a follow-up survey to collect perception data concerning the student's thoughts about kindness, both in themselves and the school climate as a whole.
Self-Efficacy and Resilience Presentation (PPT)
Anti-Bullying Week Prevention Program: This initiative includes activities and plans for Anti-Bullying Week. Includes accompanying parent program, pre-/post-tests, descriptions and objectives of the program, and ideas for announcing the program.
New Student Small Group: This sample project depicts a new student small group. This document includes a small group proposal, an ASCA action plan, flyer, pre-group communication letters for parents and teachers, and pre-/post-assessments. It includes 6 small group counseling lesson plans and accompanying activities, and also includes post-group communication letters and assessments, as well as a small group results report and an analysis of results.
